The SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025–26, launched by the SBI Foundation, is one of India’s most transformative scholarship programmes, aimed at providing financial support to meritorious students from economically weaker backgrounds. This initiative empowers students across various academic levels and disciplines to pursue their dreams confidently. The scholarship awards range from ₹15,000 to ₹20 lakh.

Eligible Student Categories:

The SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship is available for various educational levels, which include:

  • Undergraduate Students
  • Postgraduate Students
  • Medical Students
  • IIT Students
  • IIM Students
  • Overseas Students

This scholarship is designed to support deserving candidates with varying financial needs. Scholarship awards range from ₹15,000 to ₹20 lakh, depending on the course and level of study.

Eligibility Criteria:

School Students:

  • The applicant must be currently enrolled in Classes 9 to 12.
  • A minimum of 75% marks or above in the previous academic year is required.
  • The applicant’s gross annual family income should not exceed INR 3,00,000.

Undergraduate Students:

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate course (any year) at a premier university or college in India, specifically from the Top 300 Institutes as per the latest NIRF rankings.
  • Should have achieved at least 7 CGPA or 75% marks in the previous academic year.
  • The applicant’s gross annual family income should not exceed ₹6,00,000.

Postgraduate Students:

  • Applicants must be pursuing a postgraduate course (any year) from a premier university/college in India, as listed in the Top 300 Institutes according to the latest NIRF rankings.
  • Should have achieved at least 7 CGPA or 75% marks in the previous academic year.
  • The applicant’s gross annual family income should not exceed ₹6,00,000.

Medical Students

  • Students pursuing medical degrees (any year) from a premier university/college in India, as listed in the Top 300 Institutes according to the latest NIRF rankings.
  • Should have achieved at least 7 CGPA or 75% marks in the previous academic year.
  • The applicant’s gross annual family income should not exceed ₹6,00,000.

IIT Students

  • Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate course (any year) from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in India.
  • Should have achieved at least 7 CGPA or 75% marks in the previous academic year.
  • The applicant’s gross annual family income should not exceed ₹6,00,000.

IIM Students

  • Applicants must be pursuing MBA/PGDM courses (any year) from an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in India.
  • Should have achieved at least 7 CGPA or 75% marks in the previous academic year.
  • The applicant’s gross annual family income should not exceed ₹6,00,000.

Overseas Students

  • Applicants must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.
  • Open to students pursuing Postgraduate and above courses from premier institutions abroad (Institutes included in the Top 200 in QS/THE World University Rankings for 2024-25)
  • Should have achieved at least 7 CGPA or 75% marks in the previous academic year.
  • The applicant’s gross annual family income should not exceed ₹6,00,000.
